Home birth and water birth are safe choices for moms who have low risk pregnancies and are seeking a birth free from unnecessary medical interventions and interruptions to the natural flow of labor.
Making such a decision is not easy. It’s one we made with the utmost respect for the process of giving birth. With education, support, and faith we can give birth to our babies safely at home.
The only goal of giving birth is not only a healthy baby but also a healthy mama. If mom feels violated, shamed, hurried, unheard or unworthy in any way during birth, those feelings can permeate her whole mothering experience. And it’s no competition, we are all MOTHERS, no matter where we give birth. I personally had one hospital experience that I did not want to repeat and went on to have two home births. Low risk pregnancies have been proven to be SAFER away from hospitals (look it up!).
